Bhubaneswar: Odisha observed a minute silent for the COVID warriors, who are at the forefront of the war against the virus, at 6 pm on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Additional Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena had tweeted that the state had lost 25 COVID warriors.
By today more than 25,000 COVID patients have recovered in our state & gone back to their homes. It is no mean achievement. This has been possible due to selfless, untiring & dedicated work of our COVID warriors. While saving us, 25 of them have laid down their lives.@CMO_Odisha

According to sources, these healthcare workers were deployed in different dedicated COVID hospitals, COVID care centres, temporary medical centre and COVID care homes.
Meanwhile, the Ganjam administration informed about losing three more of its Corona Warriors, including a police officer.
They have been identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Siba Ram Dash of Tarsingi police station, Executive Officer Ashok Kumar Panda of Aska NAC and Section Officer Arun Kumar Behera of Jagannathprasad Block office.

Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said that dedication and devotion shown by them while discharging their duties definitely set an example for others and inspire others in the war against COVID-19.
