Odisha Govt Orders Free Treatment Of Patients Under BSKY
Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Wednesday directed authorities concerned to provide free treatment to patients under the Biju Swasthya Kalyana Yojana.
Presiding over a review meeting at the State Secretariat here, on implementation of BSKY, secretary, health and family welfare, Pramod Meherda directed the authorities to ensure free treatment to patients at all Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centres, sub-divisional hospitals, district headquarters hospitals and government medical colleges and hospitals in the state.
The health secretary asked authorities at the government medical colleges and hospitals to act in accordance with BSKY guidelines and ensure proper diagnosis and treatment free of cost.
Among others, director, National Health Mission, Shalini Pandit, director, Odisha State Medical Corporation, Archana Patnaik, joint secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Yamini Sarangi, director, Health, Haraprasad Patnaik, DMET Dr Sonamali Bag, principals of government medical colleges and hospitals and directors of Capital Hospital, Rourkela Government Hospital, Acharya Harihar Cancer Centre and Sishu Bhawan attended the meeting.
