Odisha Govt To Take Up Development Of 3 Temples In Kendrapda District
Kendrapada: The Odisha government will take up development and beautification of 3 temples in Kendrapada district.
During a visit to the district on Thursday, secretary (5T) to chief minister VK Pandian held meetings with servitors and trust board members of Baldevjew temple at Kendrapada, Dadhivaman temple at Golara Haat and Ramchandi temple at Ramnagar regarding their problems and needs.
Following the meeting, Pandian direct the officials of the district administration to prepare detailed project report (DPR) on the three temples and submit to the government to take up their development and beautification.
He also visited the site of the proposed Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel Plant at Adoi under Mahakalpada block and discussed the preparation for the project. He directed the officials to start the work soon. He also reviewed the progress of widening of Marsaghai-Jambu canal road taken up with a budget of Rs 110 crore.
Pandian held a meeting with the representatives of 130 civil societies at Circuit House in Kendrapada and discussed the issues of the local people. He told the district collector to resolve the matters at district level as soon as possible.
He then went to the RMC Complex where a 500-MT cold storage is under construction and reviewed the progress of the work. He also visited the Sankalp project at Jajang where the handicraft products of golden grass are being produced and interacted with the members of the SHGs involved in the project.
During his visit to the State Institute of Plumbing Technology at Pattamundai, the 5T secretary interacted with the students and teachers. He directed the officials to take steps for recruitment of the students after they pass out of the institute.
Pandian went around the Mission Shakti Cafe at Drabis and interacted with the members of the SHG running the facility to know their problems. He advised them to prepare new varieties of food as per the taste of the people and create a place for itself in the local market.
Special secretary to cheif minister Vineel Krishna, Kendrapada collector and officials of different departments accompanied Pandian during his visit.
