Talking to mediapersons, Dash said that the students got their question papers at 7.45 am and the examination started in time at 3218 centres across the state. “I am hopeful that students will do well in their examinations,” he observed, issuing a warning those allegedly trying to disturb the smooth conduct of the examinations.

“If some anti-social elements disturb the process of the ongoing examinations, they will be taken to task,” he said.

He also added that Cyber Police stations have been alerted for quick action against the disturbing elements. “Fake question papers are being circulated in social media with deliberate attempts to divert the public attention. The results of this year’s HSC examinations will be better,” he noted.

Students, coming out of the centres, said that the exam went well and the questions were easy.

It may be noted here that as many as 5,41, 246 students are appearing for Class-X Summative Assessment-II examination this year. The examination will continue till March 20. Question papers have been safely kept in 316 nodal centres.
