Dubai-Returned Youth 4th Coronavirus Case In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: A youth of Bhadrak district was confirmed to be COVID-19 positive on Tuesday evening, taking the total number of such cases to four in Odisha.
“Fourth COVID-19 confirmed case in #Odisha; 29 years old male of #Bhadrak district has travel history to Dubai,” tweeted Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) department.
On March 16, Odisha reported its first coronavirus positive case when a youth with a travel history to Italy was admitted at Capital Hospital here. Three days later, another young man, who had returned from the United Kingdom, tested positive for the deadly virus and got admitted at AIIMS here.
Health Secretary @nbdhal spoke to Collector Bhadrak and asked him to shift the patient to SCBMCH, isolate the close contacts and get them tested and trace all contacts as soon as possible. MD NHM is monitoring the follow up action.

The fourth COVID patient did not have any symptoms. Hence people with travel history but no symptoms should not be complacent. They must follow home quarantine for two weeks and then self monitor their health condition for another two weeks.

A 60-year-old banker became the third patient a week later. He had no foreign travel history but had travelled to New Delhi and Haryana.
While the first three cases were reported in Bhubaneswar, the fourth Odisha patient is the first case to be outside the State Capital. He too has a history of overseas travel. All the corona patients are said to be stable.
