Odisha’s COVID-19 Tally Crosses 4000 Mark
Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 146 new corona positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 4055 on Monday.
The I&PR Department informed that 128 new cases were reported from various quarantine centres and the remaining 18 were detected during contact tracing.
According to Health Department sources, Kandhamal reported the highest of 48 new cases, followed by Bhadrak (19), Cuttack (19), Balasore (8), Ganjam (8), Khurda (7), Angul (6), Rayagada (5), Nayagarh (4), Jagatsinghpur (4), Sundargarh (4), Sonepur (2), Jharsuguda (1), Dhenkanal (1) and Sambalpur (1).
Moreover, nine NDRF, ODRAF and Fire Services personnel who returned to Odisha from West Bengal after restoration duty post-Cyclone Amphan have also tested positive for COVID-19.
With 11 deaths and 2708 r,ecoveries, Odisha now has 1,333 active cases.
