Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s para shuttler Dillaswar Rao clinched a bronze medal in Men’s Doubles SL3-SL4 at the Thailand Para Badminton International 2025.
Dillaswar and fellow-Indian Dinesh Rajaiah brushed off the challenge of Adhikari Prakash (Nepal) and Cheyang Kuenchap (Bhutan) 21-8, 21-12 in the quarterfinal.
Dillaswar and Dinesh then met their match against the Indian pair of Naveen Sivakumar and Jagdish Dilli, losing 3-21, 12-21, thereby missing a shot at the gold medal.
Indian shuttlers won 24 medals at the Thailand meet, comprising of 2 gold, 8 silver and 14 bronze.
The gold medals came through Palak Kohli & Chanaida (Women’s Doubles, SL3-SU5) and Nithya Sre (Women’s Singles, SH6).
