Bhubaneswar: The condition of Ollywood playback singer Humane Sagar, who is under treatment at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, remains critical.
The singer was admitted to the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar on Friday with multiple complications.
“He was under strict observation for 72 hours. His condition improved a little in the initial 48 hours. However, there was no improvement in the health condition of the singer in last 24 hours. He is still in a critical condition,” said the singer’s wife Sriya Mishra.
Doctors had said that if required, Sagar will be airlifted to AIIMS-Delhi. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had voiced similar views.
However, as things stand, a decision on shifting the singer to AIIMS-Delhi or some other health institute can only be taken after his health condition improves.
“The Ollywood singer’s condition is not suitable for airlift now. The doctors will take a decision in this regard only after some improvement in his health,” Sriya said.
During initial evaluation, Sagar was found to be suffering from severe Multi-organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS), chronic liver failure, bilateral pneumonia and dilated cardiomyopathy with severe LV systolic dysfunction.
The 34-year-old singer is on ventilator support.
Chief Minister Majhi had enquired about the singer’s health condition two days ago. He spoke to the doctors and asked them to provide the best possible treatment to the ailing singer.
