Once Again! Biden Mistakenly ‘Promotes’ Harris As President; Know His Other Gaffes
Washington: US President Joe Biden mistakenly called Vice-President Kamala Harris as “President” Kamala Harris in a Friday speech.
“All kidding aside, of course President Harris is a proud Howard alum,” Biden said, during graduation remarks at South Carolina State University.
It’s not the first time Biden has “promoted” Harris.
In March, Biden called Harris “President Harris” while celebrating the US nearing administration of 100 million COVID-19 vaccine doses.
“Now when President Harris and I took a virtual tour of a vaccination center in Arizona not long ago, one of the nurses on that, on that tour injecting people, giving vaccinations, said that each shot was like administering a dose of hope,” he had said.
Last December, Biden referred to Harris as the President-elect while discussing how they publicly received COVID-19 vaccine shots.
“I took it to instill public confidence in the vaccine. President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason,” Biden said at the time.
At a White House event in March, Biden appeared to forget the name of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, referring to him as “the guy who runs that outfit over there.”
The latest gaffe comes as Democrats — including Harris and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg — vie to replace Biden, 79, if he chooses not to seek a second term in 2024.
Biden recently mispronounced Omicron. “It’s called the Omni-cron,” Biden said, during a speech in the White House.
“We’ve moved forward in the face of COVID-19 and moved forward in the face of the Delta variant. And we move forward now in the face of the Omnicron variant as well,” Biden said.
Biden’s detractors have seized on the mispronunciation as evidence of cognitive decline.
