New Delhi: OnePlus will be launching its mid-range phone Nord via the world’s first Augmented Reality (AR) smartphone event on July 21.
However, the event is not free. Paid invitations are available for Rs 99 on Amazon India from 12 noon on Saturday.
There’s also lottery with an assured gift for people buying the launch invitation passes. The gift has not been revealed though.
To view the AR launch event, users will need to download the Nord AR app and follow the necessary instructions like creating their own avatar. Then they have to scan a QR code given to load the Web AR experience.
As part of launch offers, there will be benefits worth Rs 5,000. Pre-bookings begin on July 15 for a deposit of Rs 499. Also, for those who pre-order, there’s a surprise gift box containing limited-edition merchandise from OnePlus. And for pre-order users who buy the phone, there’s a second gift box containing OnePlus Bullets Wireless V1 and a phone cover. They have to complete the purchase by August 31 to avail the offer.
The OnePlus Nord is expected to be priced around Rs 22,000.
