Plus II Admission Begins In Odisha; Know Your Dates

Bhubaneswar: The admission process for the Plus II streams of Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational Studies began in Odisha on Thursday.

The admission process will be held from 11 am to 5 pm, according to a notification by the School and Mass Education department.

The students can apply online on www.samsodisha.gov.in while the deadline for online application for admission is 11.45 pm till June 20.

The students, who have applied online, will have to download the application form from the above website and deposit it at any SAMS (Student Academic Management Centre) Resource Centre by 5 pm on June 21. The students who have applied offline will also have to submit their forms and other documents at any SAMS Resource Centre by 5 pm on June 21.

The first merit list will be published on June 26. The students selected in the first merit list can take admission between June 28 and July 5. The second merit list will be published on July 8 and the admission will be held between July 9 and 11.

After the second phase of admission, the merit list for spot admissions will be published on July 16 and the admission will be held between July 18 and 20.

The regular classes will commence from July 24, the notification added.

Students seeking details of the admission process can contact the SAMS Resource Centres in their respective localities or they can contact through the Sanjog Helpline number (155335 or 1800-345-6770).

This year, the admission will be held in a total of 4,51,167 seats in 2,041 junior colleges in the state. Of the total number of seats, there are 2,36,894 seats for the Arts, 1,45,822 for Science and 45,411 seats for Commerce.
