Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated ace woman sprinter from Odisha Dutee Chand for her splendid performance at the ongoing Asian Games in Jakarta. She won the silver in the 100-metre event on Sunday night.

Union minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also congratulated Dutee. “In a Magnificent run, India’s Dutee Chand won SILVER medal in Women’s 100 m with a timing of 11.32 sec. KUDOS to you Champion!,” Singh said in a tweet.

Apart from this, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also praised Dutee, who came second clocking 11.32 seconds and missed the gold by 0.02 seconds.

Notably, Dutee has participated in the Asian Games for the first time. With the win, she has become the second fastest woman in Asia.
