PM Modi Makes Aerial Survey Of Areas Ravaged By Cyclone Amphan In Bengal, Odisha Next

Kolkata/Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday conducted an aerial survey of areas affected by Cyclone Amphan in West Bengal. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accompanied him.

Almost after three months, Modi took a flight to West Bengal this morning and was received by Governor Jagdeep Dhankar and Mamata at Kolkata airport. All three were seen wearing face masks.

This is the first leg of his visit to survey the areas ravaged by Cyclone Amphan. He will also conduct an aerial survey of Amphan-hit areas in Odisha and attend review meeting.s

In view of his visit to the state, a 26-member team of the Special Protection Group (SPG) led by IG Yashwant Jethwa had arrived in Bhubaneswar this morning.
