Berhampur: The police raide a gambling den at Berhampur in Ganjam district and seized Rs 2.35 lakh in cash, besides arresting 11 persons from the spot.
Acting on a tip-off, Bada Baazar police raided a house at Kaliabandha Sahi near Housing Board Colony and arrested 11 persons from the spot while gaming in the illegal den and for their alleged involvement in operating it. Ten cell phones were seized from their possession. The accused have been court-forwarded, a senior police officer said.
Raids are being carried out at different places in the town to nab other persons involved in the case, the officer added.
