New Delhi: Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attended a ‘chai pe charcha’ meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, Cabinet Ministers K Ram Mohan Naidu and Chirag Paswan and other leaders from different political parties in the Parliament on Friday, reported CNN-News 18. The interaction was arranged after the Winter Session of the Parliament concluded.
A video clip shared by Times Now on its X shows Vadra sitting beside Singh during the meeting. This comes after the Congress MP from Kerala met Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari.
“Met respected Shri @nitin_gadkari to raise issues concerning my constituency, Wayanad, and urged that pending works be expedited without further delay. He was kind enough to hear my concerns and get an update from the relevant officers. I sincerely hope these pressing issues which directly affect people’s safety and daily lives, will receive the attention and urgency they deserve,” the Congress MP wrote on X.
According to reports, the MP had discussed six road projects that pass-through Kerala.
The Highways Minister, as reported by NDTV, had told the MP that some of the projects were under the Kerala government, so the Centre couldn’t handle those. However, the minister reportedly assured the MP that he would look into the others.
