Bhubaneswar: Soon after the photographs of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi consoling the family of the deceased gang-raped Dalit girl in Hathras, UP surfaced on social media, netizens lauded the Congress leaders for their efforts to reach out to the family despite the UP government’s attempt to stop them.
In one of the pictures, Priyanka was seen hugging the victim’s mother. In another picture, Rahul was seen sitting with the male members of the family with his head bowed down.
From Priyanka taking the driver’s seat to her stepping in to save the Congress workers from police batons, she has surfaced as an empathetic leader over the past few days, winning her praise on Twitter.
