Bhubaneswar: The process for second-phase admission in Plus III streams in degree and autonomous colleges of Odisha began on Monday.
About 52,000 seats have fallen vacant after the first-phase admission.
According to a notification by the Higher Education Department, students can apply through the common application form (CAF) in the offline mode between July 30 and August 3.
The merit list would be published in the college notice boards on August 7 while the students whose name has figured in the merit list would take admission on August 8 and 9.
Apart from the students who have cleared the +2 Instant examination, those who had not applied for admission in the first phase due to unavoidable circumstances, others who had applied in the first phase but have not been allotted the seats and the students who were selected for admission in the first phase but could not take admission, are eligible to take admission in the second phase.
The admission would be made against the vacant honours and general seats. In the second phase admission, the cut-off marks would not be taken into consideration.
There will be reservation of seats for the students from backward communities. In case some of these seats fall vacant, these seats would be filled up with the admission of the students belonging to the general category.
Selection of the students would be made at the college level, the notification added.
