Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday began the process of segregating the Plus II Junior Colleges from the Plus III colleges in the state.
This was decided at a joint meeting in the presence of the Higher Education minister Arun Kumar Sahu and School and Mass Education minister Samir Ranjan Dash and the principal secretaries at the State Secretariat here.
Talking to mediapersons after the meeting, Sahu said Plus II Colleges running on the campuses of the Plus III colleges will be separated.
“While the existing teaching and the non-teaching staff and the employees will remain with the Plus III colleges, new teaching, non-teaching and other staff for the Plus II colleges will be created. It will will take at least 3-4 years. Till such period, the Plus II colleges will continue to function in the Plus III colleges,” he added.
