Odisha Public Health Officer Caught Taking Rs 7K Bribe

Phulbani: Public Health Officer (PHO) Nishit Nishant Malu was caught red-handed by the Vigilance sleuths in Phulbani on Wednesday while accepting a bribe of Rs 7,000.

According to sources, he had demanded illegal gratification from his office employee Benupani Digal, a health worker, to sanction his TA and RMC bill.

He was told to bring the bribe money on March 31. On being informed, Vigilance sleuth laid a trap and caught Nishit.

The Vigilance sleuths are conducting simultaneous raids at his office quarter and resident at Sundarapada in Bhubaneswar.
