Puri: Police on Friday issued traffic advisory to ensure hassle-free movement of both heavy and light vehicles during Rath Yatra.
According to the advisory, vehicular movement will be restricted from midnight on Rath Yatra and Bahuda and from 12 pm on Suna Besha. However, emergency vehicles will be exempted.
No inter-state, tourist and reserve buses will be allowed on Bada Danda from July 13 to 25. During this period, all the inter-state tourist buses within the state and the reserve buses coming on National Highway-316 towards Puri will park at Malatipatpur bus stand. The buses shall return on the same route via Satyabadi, Pipili and Uttara.
Once the Malatipatpur parking space is filled up, the buses will be diverted towards horticulture farm via ROB.
Similarly, tourist and reserve buses coming from Konark will be allowed up to horticulture farm. They will return to their respective destinations through NH-316 via Balighat, Harekrushnapur, Satyabadi, Pipili and Uttara crossing or may divert towards Bhubaneswar via Konark.
Regular passenger buses will not be allowed to come to the municipality bus stand here. All these buses shall be allowed up to Talabania temporary bus stand via Malatipatpur ROB, Toshali Sands and Grid Station Square.
It is mandatory for regular passenger buses to carry the passes issued to them for Rath Yatra failing which they will not be allowed beyond Malatipatpur.
Besides, light vehicles including auto rickshaws coming from NH-316 shall be diverted from Malatipatpur ROB to Grid Station via Nilachal Link and then to ITI Parking via Bhudan Square, Talabania, Indoor Stadium and ITI Square.
All the light vehicles shall return from their respective parking places via Central School Grid Station Square and Balighat, Gopalpur, Samangara, Biraharekrushnapur villages to NH-316.
In case of congestion on NH-316, light vehicles will be diverted from Grid Station Square via Balighai-Nagapur-Gop-Nimapara-Pipili.
