New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are likely to visit Mahakumbh on February 16.
Rahul, the Raebareli MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, and Wayanad MP Priyanka were supposed to take the holy dip at Triveni sangam earlier, but their visit got cancelled because of other engagements.
According to Congress sources, the brother and sister will travel to Prayagraj on Sunday, and meet Congress Seva dal members at the camp set up in Sector 15 there.
Around 1,000 Congress leaders/workers may be accompanying Rahul and Priyanka to Mahakumbh.
Dozens of politicians, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu, and celebrities have taken the dip at Mahakumbh so far.
Around 47 crore people have thus far visited Mahakumbh, which takes place once in 144 years. This year, Mahakumbh mela started on January 13 and will continue till Mahashivratri on February 26.
