Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway has opened outreach camps to look into the concerns and doubts raised by the Railway job aspirants.
The camps have been opened after Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw advised apex authorities of Railway Board and Zonal Railways to open High Power Committees to look into the concerns and doubts raised by the aspirants with regard to results of first stage Computer Based Test (CBT)-1 published on January 14 and 15.
The Minister’s statement comes after a train was set on fire and demonstrations took place on Thursday, marking the third day of unrest in Bihar against alleged anomalies in the tests conducted by the RRB in Non-Technical Popular Categories exams (NTPC) category.
Addressing mediapersons and listening to the concerns of aspirants, Vaishnaw appealed all the Railway job aspirants not to indulge in unlawful activities.
Vaishnaw said the RRB examinations are being conducted in a transparent manner maintaining highest standards of integrity and urge the job aspirants not to be misguided by wrongful elements.
The Committee will go into the following issues raised by candidates and give recommendations:
- Results of 1st Stage CBT of CEN 01/2019 (NTPC) and methodology used for shortlisting candidates for 2nd Stage CBT without affecting existing shortlisted candidates.
- Introduction of 2nd Stage CBT in CEN RRC 01/2019.
- The candidates can lodge their concerns and suggestions at: rrbcommittee@railnet.gov.in
The ECoR has opened outreach camps at each division and one at Bhubaneswar. Aspirants can register their grievances which will be placed at the highest level for redressal of the grievances.
Candidates can submit their concerns in three weeks time, upto February 16. After examining these concerns, the committee will submit its recommendations by March 4, stated a release.
The second stage CBT of CEN 01/2019 (NTPC) beginning February 15 and first stage CBT of CEN RRC 01/2019 beginning February 23 stands postponed.
