Shambhavi Puraskar: Cash Award Doubled To Rs 5 Lakh; Application Open For Social Changemakers In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The cash award for the ‘Shambhavi Puraskar’ has been doubled.
The winner of the prestigious award, established by Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF) in 2014, will henceforth receive Rs 5 lakh (up from Rs 2.5 lakh), a citation and trophy.
The Jury Commendation Certification has also been upgraded, with the cash prize increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. A citation will also be presented.
‘Shambhavi Puraskar’ acknowledges the remarkable efforts of social changemakers in Odisha. These dedicated individuals work tirelessly to uplift communities and inspire positive change. Besides recognising their hard work, this award expands their reach by connecting them with a broader network of social investors and organizations.
“It is our responsibility to serve the underserved and create a ripple effect of change towards social transformation. The Shambhavi Puraskar has provided grassroots leaders in Odisha with a platform to further their vision and ambition for collective growth,” said Shaifalika Panda, Trustee & Founder CEO of BIPF and Chief of CSR (Special Initiatives) at IMFA.
Those wanting to apply or nominate for the award can do so by visiting the website — www.bipf.org.in.
Selection will be based on several criteria, including the impact created, sustainability, community participation, scalability, innovation, and number of beneficiaries.
An independent jury panel, comprising esteemed leaders from the government, academia, industry, media, and a representative from BIPF, adjudicates the winners every year.
