Shramik Special Train From Andhra Pradesh Reaches Odisha

Rayagada: A Shramik Special train carrying over 202 Odia migrant workers arrived in Rayagada railway station on Saturday midnight.

The migrants, who came from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, belong, mostly belong to Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Nabarangpur districts, sources said.

Special buses were arranged to take them to their respective home districts.

For smooth transit of the migrants to the quarantine centres and contain the spread of COVID-19, section 144 was imposed in and around the railway station area

Notably, it has been mandatory for every passenger boarding the train to wear face cover, ensure social distancing norms and hygiene. Meals and drinking water is provided to them by the government officials.
