Meerut: Special arrangements are being made to shift Muskan Rastogi, one of the main accused in Meerut murder case, to a separate barrack as she is around six weeks pregnant. Another pregnant inmate will also be moved along with her, reports claimed. Muskan is accused of killing her husband, Saurabh Rajput, along with her friend, Sahil Sukhla. The duo dumped Saurabh’s body in a drum and filled it with cement.
According to reports, Muskan will be relocated in accordance with the jail manual. According to norms, special arrangements are made and accommodation is arranged for expecting inmates.
Along with her, another female prisoner, Sangeeta, whose ultrasound report also confirmed her pregnancy, will be shifted to the same designated barracks, reported India Today.
The jail administration reportedly received the medical reports of both inmates on Saturday. Special care facilities including a tailored diet, prescribed medications, and regular medical check-ups will now be provided to the two inmates.
“Trained staff have been deployed to ensure that the pregnant inmates receive proper care and attention. We are taking all necessary steps to make sure they do not face any kind of inconvenience,” Senior Jail Superintendent Veeresh Raj Sharma told India Today.
