Temperature In Odisha To Rise Again, Rain Forecast For Dec 10
Bhubaneswar: The winter chill, which Odisha is currently experiencing will not last long. While there will be no large change in the night temperature during the next three days, the mercury will rise at many places by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in the subsequent two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Tuesday.
Amid the prevailing dry weather conditions, the MeT office has also forecast light rain at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam and Gajapati on December 10.
Notably, the mercury plummeted to 9.5 degree Celsius at Koraput and Similiguda last night while 23 places recorded a minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius and below.

Meanwhile, the low-pressure area has become well-marked over the southeast Bay of Bengal and is likely to concentrate into a depression by this evening. The system is likely to intensify further gradually into a cyclonic storm and reach near north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh coasts by December 8 morning.

The cyclonic storm will continue to move westnorth-westwards towards north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts during the subsequent 48 hours, the IMD said.
