Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning, gusty wind and rain is likely to hit at least seven districts of Odisha on Tuesday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message issued at 2 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Sundargarh and Nuapada.

It said light to moderate thunderstorm with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph, lightning and rain may affect these seven districts within next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places to protect from lightning strikes.
