Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday declared the results of Class X examination for all streams showing an overall pass percentage of 93.66%.
As per the official data released by the CBSE, a total of 23,71,939 students appeared for the exam this year, of whom 22,21,636 have passed. The pass percentage increased by 0.06% this year as compared to previous year.
Continuing the trend of recent years, girls have outperformed boys yet again. While the pass percentage for girls stood at 95.00%, that for boys was recorded at 92.63%.
While Trivandrum and Vijaywada topped the list of regions with 99.79% followed by Bengaluru (98.90%) and Chennai (98.71%), the pass percentage in Bhubaneswar region stood at 92.64.
Bhubaneswar featured in the list of top-performing regions, securing a position in the top 12 with a pass rate of 92.64%.
The pass percentage of transgender students was recorded 95.00, an increase by 3.7% from previous year.
However, 141353 students have been placed in compartment.
