‘Today He Tried To Kill Me Cut Me In Pieces And Throw Me Away’: Shraddha’s Complaint Letter Of 2020 Against Aaftab

New Delhi: Aaftab Amin Poonawala carried out the threat he made to Shraddha in 2020, two years later, in 2022.

In a 2020 complaint filed by Shraddha against Aaftab she described how Aaftab threatened her — ‘cut me up in pieces and throw me away.’

Today he tried to kill me by suffocating me and he scares me and blackmails me that he will kill me, cut me up in pieces and throw me away,” Shraddha wrote in the letter. “It’s been 6 months he has been hitting me but I did not have the guts to go to the police because he would threaten to kill me,” Shraddha wrote on November 23, 2020. The letter has reportedly been shared by Shraddha’s neighbour in Vasai with whom Shraddha had gone to file the complaint, an ANI report said adding that Maharashtra Police confirmed the authenticity of the letter.

Shraddha Walkar had filed a hand-written complaint in 2020 against Aaftab.

His parents were aware of everything

Shraddha mentioned the involvement of Aaftab’s family as she wrote they were aware that Aaftab used to hit her. “His parents are aware that he bears me and that he tried to kill me. They also know about we living together and they visit on weekends. I lived with him till date as we were supposed to get married anytime soon and had the blessings of his family,” Shraddha wrote.

“Henceforth I am not willing to live with him. So any kind of physical damage should be considered coming from him as he has been blackmailing me to kill me or hurt me whenever he sees me anywhere,” the letter read.

Shraddha’s former colleague, Karan, earlier revealed that a complaint was filed by Shraddha against Aaftab but Shraddha did not proceed further after Aaftab’s parents promised her that Aaftab would move out of the house. The Delhi Police on Wednesday recorded the statements of the family members who are now in Delhi. Two weeks before the case came to light, they shifted from Vasai to the outskirts of Mumbai. For the past few days, they remained untraceable.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory, Rohini, Sanjeev Gupta, said the process of conducting a polygraph test on Aaftab has begun and the report will be out in a week’s time.
