Two sisters drown in Kendrapada

Kendrapada: In a tragic incident, two sisters drowned in a pond at Mugakani village under Rajnagar block in Kendrapada district on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Sasmita Muduli (13) and Sujata Muduli (10). They reportedly slipped while taking bath in the pond after tuition and drowned.
Their elder sister, who spotted the duo after some children playing nearby raised alarm, dived into the pond to rescue them but in vain. She sustained serious injuries and was later admitted to Rajnagar primary health centre. Her condition is stated to be critical, reports said.
