Lucknow: The video of a young woman from Uttar Pradesh pulling a gun on a fuel pump attendant, after the latter’s minor altercation with her father, has gone viral on social media.
Based on a complaint by the pump attendant, an FIR has been registered against her and her parents by the police. The weapon, a revolver, has also been seized.
The incident is from an HP CNG pump on Sandi Road in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. This is about two km from Bilgram town.
According to the police, Ehsan Khan, a resident of Shahabad, arrived at the pump with his wife and daughter Ariba, on Sunday to refuel his vehicle. While getting the CNG filled, a verbal altercation broke out between Khan and a pump attendant named Rajneesh Kumar.
The heated exchange quickly escalated, leading to the attendant pushing Khan on the chest. This was captured on camera.
The CCTV camera then captures Ariba rushing to the car and returning with a revolver. She then presses it against Kumar’s chest. Others intervene and de-escalate the situation. However, the young woman continues to wave the gun around as people try to guide her back to the car.
Eye-witnesses claimed that Ariba threatened to shoot Kumar. “Itni goliyaan maroongi ki ghar wale bhi pehchanne se mana kar denge”(I will pump so many bullets into you that even your family won’t be able to identify your body,” she apparently said.

Following the incident, the pump attendant filed a formal complaint at the Kotwali police station. An FIR was registered against Khan, his wife Husnbano and daughter Ariba. The charges include sections under the Arms Act and for issuing criminal threats.
Bilgram police station in-charge Rakesh Kumar confirmed that a case has been lodged and the revolver used in the incident seized. He added that further investigation is underway.
