Hyderabad: South star Vijay Deverakonda, at a recent event, shared that the Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer period drama ‘Chhaava’ left him enraged and he wants to slap Aurangzeb.
Vijay, who was the guest of honour at the weekend pre-release event of Suriya’s upcoming film ‘Retro’ in Hyderabad, also vented out his anger for the British and said that he wanted to slap them too.
When anchor Suma asked Vijay if he wanted to go back in time to meet someone, the actor replied, “I want to meet the British and give them two tight slaps. I recently watched ‘Chhaava’, and it enraged me. I’d probably take the opportunity to give Aurangzeb two to three tight slaps also. I want to meet so many others like that, just to hit them. Right now, it’s all I can think of.”
When Suriya was asked the same question, the actor, who looked flabbergasted by Vijay’s answer, said that he doesn’t miss anyone, so he wouldn’t like to go back in time.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vijay was last seen in the 2024 film ‘The Family Star’ with Mrunal Thakur.
The actor is currently working on Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Kingdom, an upcoming project by Rahul Sankrithyan.
Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, ‘Retro’ will release in theatres on May 1.
