Mumbai: After delivering stellar performances in films such as ‘12th Pass’ and ‘The Sabarmati Report,’ actor Vikrant Massey will play a spiritual leader in his upcoming film.
Touted to be a thriller, the film is based on the life of spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and has been titled as ‘White.’
Hindustan Times quoted a source close to the production house as saying, “Vikrant has been growing his hair and also undergoing physical transformation to look as similar as possible to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He has also been watching Sri Sri’s videos and observing his body language to prep for the role.”
He added, “White is about how Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s intervention was pivotal in bringing Colombia’s 52-year-long civil war to a close. It will be the untold story of India’s spiritual diplomacy in international political scape.”
The film will apparently feature an international crew from Los Angeles and will be released in multiple languages, including English and Spanish.
The pre-production work has already started in Colombia and the film will go on floors in July.
Directed by Monto Bassi and produced by Siddharth Anand, along with Anand and Mahaveer Jain, the film is expected to be released next year.
Earlier this year, Vikrant had shared that he wanted to take a break from acting to spend time with his family.
However, his social media post was misunderstood, where some assumed that the actor was quitting acting.
