Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday effected a minor reshuffle in the bureaucracy while relieving IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav to enable him to join his new assignment at the centre.
Yadav, a 1996-batch officer serving as Principal Secretary to the Works Department, has been appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to Rural Development Department, will replace him as the Principal Secretary to Works Department. The 1997-batch IAS officer has been allowed to hold additional charge as Principal Secretary to the Information and Public Relation Department, and Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department, the notification issued by the General Administration Department said.
Similarly, 2008-batch officer Yamini Sarangi will replace Singh as Rural Development Secretary. She will continue to serve as Commissioner, Commercial Taxes and GST with additional charge of Special Secretary to the Finance Department, it added.
