[Watch] Jai Jagannath: Cricketer Rajat Patidar Removes Shoes Before Accepting Lord’s Painting From Odisha Fan

Bhubaneswar: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar won hearts with a respectful gesture after meeting a fan from Odisha, who had reportedly cycled 1,200 km to meet the cricketer.

In a video circulating on social media, Patidar can be seen removing his footwear before accepting a painting of Lord Jagannath from the fan, Deepak Kumar.

The video has since attracted attention on social media, with cricket fans appreciating Patidar’s humility and the effort made by the supporter.

Deepak, a fan of the RCB skipper, cycled all the way from Odisha to Indore in Madhya Pradesh with one goal in mind, to meet his cricketing idol.

Deepak documented his long and challenging journey through a series of videos shared on social media. After days of travelling, his efforts finally paid off when he got the opportunity to meet Patidar.

Patidar reportedly warmly welcomed Deepak, spent time with him and posed for photographs. During the meeting, Deepak also presented the cricketer with a Sambalpuri Chadar, showcasing a piece of Odisha’s rich cultural heritage.

Patidar has emerged as an important figure for RCB, having been entrusted with the captaincy. While his performances and leadership remain central to his role, moments like this continue to highlight his interactions with supporters away from the cricket field.
