A video of a man entering a supermarket wearing just his underwear and mask has gone viral.

Chris Noden, 38, set foot in Tesco supermarket in Newport in nothing but his underpants and mask to protest against the ban on the sale of non-essential items, The Indian Express reported.

The ban, a part of the 17-day ‘firebreak’ lockdown imposed in the region to curb the spread of coronavirus was imposed by the Welsh government on supermarkets from selling ‘non-essential’ items such as clothing and books.

A video that is doing the rounds of social media shows Noden in his boxer shorts and mask, reportedly being stopped by the security staff. The person who made the video can be heard saying, “Clothes are non-essential, let him in.”

A petition submitted to the Welsh Parliament seeking the ban to be immediately reversed has garnered 60,000 signatures, reported Independent.
