Puri: A doctor attacked a security guard on duty at the Puri Sadar main hospital following a dispute over parking space here on Tuesday.
The doctor, who was allegedly in an inebriated condition, engaged in an argument with the security guard on duty when the latter asked him to park his two-wheeler outside the campus at a designated parking lot.
According to reports, the doctor had parked his scooter on the medical premises when the security guard on duty stopped him. Not willing to listen to the security guard, the doctor engaged in an argument with him. During this time a police officer present at the spot tried to intervene but the doctor did not listen to him either.
Sensing that the doctor was in an inebriated condition, the police man tried to snatch the iron rod from the doctor to prevent any attack. In the tussle that ensued two persons were injured.
Some people present at the spot nabbed the doctor and prevented a major mishap.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media but the doctor’s identity is yet to be revealed.
