Kendrapara: Tension ran high in Kendrapara district following the death of a woman allegedly after being administered a wrong injection.
The deceased has been identified as Taskina Farheen (20), wife of Ramjan Bux.
According to available information, after a bout of vomiting, family members rushed Taskina to Dr Kulamani Baral’s clinic. She was administered an injection and sent back home. Upon reaching home, the woman fell unconscious and died.
Enraged family members of the deceased ransacked the doctor’s house near the district headquarters hospital.
Taskina’s father-in-law, Khadim Bux alleged that the doctor asked them to get a blood test of the patient and later asked him to bring an injection from a particular medicine store. Soon after she was administered the injection, she died.
The doctor is absconding.
