Nuapada: In a shocking incident, a 24-yeer-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a primary health centre in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Saturday.
According to sources, the incident took place at Sadargan village under Dharambandha panchayat in the district. The deceased has been identified as Mamata Majhi of nearby Kodopali village. She was working in the health centre and staying in a room inside its premises.
Local residents informed the police as Mamata did not open the door for a long time. A police team rushed to the spot and broke the door of the room open after which the woman was found dead inside.
Police sent the body for postmortem and launched an investigation. A forensic team also examined the site.
Investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to the death of the woman.
