Puri: Passengers had a close shave after a major fire broke out in a tourist bus at Malapatapur bus stand in Odisha’s Puri district on Tuesday.
Sources said all the passengers were rescued and no casualty has been reported in the incident that took place in the morning.

Locals said that the Puri-bound tourist bus with around 30 passengers on board suddenly caught fire near the Malatipatapur bus stand this morning. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
On being informed, police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot. Smokes bellowed in the entire area as the fire broke out. The blaze was controlled by the firefighters but the bus was completed gutted in the incident.
