According to a notification, the entrance examination will be held tentatively between July 13 and July 15, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The special examination has been introduced to fill vacant seats remaining after the first round of counselling.
The test will facilitate admissions into B.Tech, Lateral Entry to Engineering (Diploma and B.Sc.), B.Pharm, Basic B.Sc. Nursing, MBA, and MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science programmes.
The online application process for the Special OJEE 2026 will begin on June 16, 2026, and continue till June 28, 2026 (11 PM). Candidates have been directed to submit their applications only through the official websites — www.ojee.nic.in and www.odishajee.com.
Applicants have been advised to carefully read the Information Brochure and instructions available on the official portal before applying. The brochure includes details on eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and other important guidelines.
The syllabus for B.Tech aspirants will remain the same as JEE Main 2026, while for other courses, the standard OJEE 2026 syllabus will be applicable.
Those who have already qualified in JEE Main 2026 (for B.Tech) or secured a rank in the main OJEE 2026 (for other courses) will not be required to appear for the special examination.
OJEE authorities have clarified that candidates from outside Odisha are eligible to apply but their admission will be restricted to private institutions only, as government college seats will be reserved for state candidates.
The results of the Special OJEE 2026 will be used exclusively for filling vacant seats after the completion of the first round of counselling.
