Dense Fog Warning For Odisha; Night Temp To Dip After 24 Hours
Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to experience dense fog for two days from January 17, the India Meteorological Department said on Friday.
While shallow to moderate fog will engulf some places in the state on January 15 and 16, the MeT office has issued Yellow warning for January 17 and 18.
Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj between 8.30 am on January 17 and 8.30 am on January 18.
Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul and Dhenkanal may experience similar weather conditions in the subsequent 24 hours.
The night temperature is also likely to gradual fall by 3-4°C after 24 hours.
The IMD has also issued Yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri till 8.30 am on January 15.
Light to moderate rainfall/ thundershower has occurred at most places over the districts of Odisha with Heavy rainfall at one place in Rayagada during the last 24 hours, it added.
The Skymet has forecast light to moderate rain and thunderstorm with isolated hailstorm activities in Odisha in the next 24 hours.
