Bhubaneswar: As part of efforts to promote research and innovation, the Odisha government has invited applications for the Mukhyamantri Research Fellowship 2026-27.
Officials said selected candidates will receive fellowship under the Mukhyamantri Research and Innovation Programme (MRIP) of the state government.
According to a notification issued on Tuesday by the Higher Education Department, applications have been invited from Ph.D. scholars enrolled in state public universities. Eligible candidates can apply through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal.
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must be permanent residents of Odisha and should have registered for their Ph.D. between April 1, 2024, and July 19, 2026, under an approved research guide.
The notification further clarified research scholars who were selected under MRIP-2025 for the fellowship but are not registered on the SAMS portal are not eligible to apply again.
