New Delhi: Amid the ongoing controversy around ‘Satluj’, singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has revealed that he intends to write an autobiography, but there’s a catch.
In a candid conversation with fans during an Instagram live, Diljit shared that he wants the book to be published only after his death, explaining that it will contain the complete story of his life and experiences.
When a fan asked Diljit whether he’ll ever write his autobiography, the actor replied, “I will write a book before I die, but it will only be released after my death. I won’t reveal when it will be released beforehand, because if I did, people wouldn’t let me live. Even my own family, my relatives, my friends, and many people who work with me—our team is very large. I don’t want to put any of them through trouble. So, I will write the book before I die, but it will only be published after my death. I won’t disclose in advance when it will be released.”

Honey Trehan-directed ‘Satluj’ remained stuck in certification issues for nearly four years, delaying its theatrical release.
It finally premiered on the OTT platform on July 3, only to be taken down two days later.
On July 5, ZEE5 issued a statement thanking viewers for the overwhelming response but announced that ‘Satluj’ would no longer be available for streaming in India until further notice due to current developments.
“We remain committed to championing authentic and meaningful narratives. In light of the current developments, Satluj will be unavailable in India until further notice. We remain committed to exploring every appropriate avenue through due process to bring the film back to our audiences at the earliest opportunity. Our commitment to creators and to stories told with conviction, artistic integrity and purpose remains unwavering,” read the statement.
Inspired by the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, ‘Satluj’ was previously titled ‘Punjab ’95’.
Produced by RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures, the film features Diljit alongside Arjun Rampal, Kanwaljit Singh, Suvinder Vicky, and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan in key roles.
