Mumbai: IPL fans, brace for a surprise during the grand finale.
Among those who will be hosting the final of IPL 2022 on May 29 – from 6 pm on Star Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar is none other than Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan.
Not just that, the trailer of Aamir’s upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ will be unveiled during the 2-and-a-half minute second strategic timeout of the first innings of the final.
Aamir Khan Productions took to social media on Wednesday to share a video in which Aamir is seen announcing the release of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ trailer.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Chaitanya Akkineni, is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao and Viacom18 Studios.
An Indian remake of the 1994 Tom Hanks classic ‘Forrest Gump’, the Advait Chandan-directed Laal Singh Chaddha’ will be released in theatres on August 11.
IPL debutants Gujarat Titans have already advanced to the final, defeating Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday. They will face the winners of Qualifier 2 – between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Supergiants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore – at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday evening.
