Cuttack: The second T20 International between India and South Africa will be played at Barabati Stadium on June 12 in front of a capacity crowd.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allowed 100% turnaround at stadiums for the five-match series against the visiting Proteas, according to ANI.
The series will begin at Delhi on June 9, followed by matches at Cuttack, Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam and Rajkot.
The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) had recently requested CM Naveen Patnaik and other concerned authorities to consider the possibility of allowing a full capacity for the match.
Barabati Stadium has a capacity of 45,000 spectators.
The last time an international match was staged at this venue was months before the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic – an ODI against the West Indies on December 22, 2019. In a high-scoring contest, India chased down 316 with 4 wickets and 6 balls to spare.
