Bhubaneswar: Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS), under KIIT-DU, was presented the Charaka National Award for Best Dental College by the Indian Dental Association (IDA).
KIDS Director Dr Jugajyoti Pathi, who received the award, acknowledged the contribution of the institute’s faculty, students and staff.
KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta also thanked all doctors, students and staff of KIDS.
Instituted by the Indian Dental Association (IDA), the Charaka National Awards acknowledge contributions in the field of dentistry.
KIDS received over 4 lakh public votes and impressed a panel of judges.
The institute highlighted its cutting-edge infrastructure, with more than 300 dental chairs, AI-based diagnostics, 3D printing laboratories, impactful research such as Cleft Connect app for cleft lip/palate care, and community-first outreach.
The event was attended by Consul General of Chile Gustovo Gonzalez, Taiwan External Trade Development Council’s (TAITRA) Alex Chain, and senior IDA office-bearers Dr Subhra Nandy (president), Dr Ashok Dhoble (secretary general) and Dr Manoj Srivastava (president-elect).
