The scheme took account of the marks scored by a student in other subjects and award average marks in the cancelled papers.

The optional improvement exams for the cancelled papers will be conducted when the situation gets better.

Here’s how students can check their result:

Step one: Go to the official results website: cbseresults.nic.in

Step two: Click on result link.

Step three: Enter school code and roll number.

Step four: Submit details and check your result.

According to media reports, 11,92,961 out of the total 12,03,595 students appeared for the Class XII exam and 10,59,080 among the cleared it. The pass percentage being 88.78 per cent has increased by 5.38 per cent from last year when 83.40 per cent of students had passed. However, the Board will not release the merit list this year.

Results of 400 students couldn’t be computed as per decided assessment scheme and will be announced later, a board official was quoted as saying by the PTI.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal congratulates the students through tweets.
