Door-To-Door Screening To Be Carried Out In Ganjam From Tomorrow

Ganjam: Ganjam collector Vijay Amruta Kulange on Tuesday directed officials to start door-to-door (D2D) screening drive to identify coronavirus infected people in the district.

The D2D screening drive will commence on Wednesday and the announcement for the same will be done by Tuesday. The screening team with oximeter will visit every household.

The screening area will be shut down for that time for three to four days as per requirements.

Kulange said those carrying out the screening drive will be given proper training. As per the health department bulletin issued on Tuesday, the total number of positive coronavirus cases in Ganjam stood at 2348 with 21 deaths while 1391 patients have recovered.

The collector requested people to cooperate and not to hide the symptoms.

People with symptoms of COVID-19 will be sent to quarantine centres set up at the block level. Moreover, antigen test kits have arrived and it is going to be used from Tuesday as per the guidelines.
