Nuapada: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday promised to provide work guarantee of up to Rs 5,000 crore under Mission Shakti and Rs 5 lakh loan at zero per cent interest to self-help groups if the party returns to power in the state.
During a marathon campaign at Komna in Nuapada district on Monday, he also announced:
- Hike in Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) amount from Rs 7 lakh for each woman to Rs 10 lakh now
- Free education to all girls from KG to higher education including medical, engineering and all types of educational courses
- Financial assistance of Rs 25,000 for marriage of poor girls
- Engagement of Mission Shakti workers in paddy procurement, Ashram school management, hospital management and supply of school uniforms to benefit them
- Accident insurance for SHG members
“We have been giving importance to women in our party manifesto,” said the Chief Minister.
Notably, Naveen is campaigning in Nuapada and Kalahandi districts.
